when two souls meet…
we all hope for that time in our lives when we meet someone & immediately think “okay, this is my person”. well, this is the perfect explanation of the inseparable bond between natalie braun & keaton milburn, the two female co-founders of twinflames.
the concept of finding your twin flame expands upon the idea that someone you meet is your absolute super soulmate… they are the perfect reflection of you & your soul.
this is the first blog on the millennial professional highlighting a major #bossbabe, where i not only get to interview one… but two of the minds behind the label.
twinflames is a streetwear apparel created by a pair of twin flames themselves. based out of Los Angeles, california, natalie & keaton’s goal behind their brand is to combine edgy styles with comfort. ultimately, making you feel connected to their brand & twin flame energy.
a look into their brand
the two met each other in college at asu (arizona state university) where they became “big & little” in their sorority. from the moment they met, they knew immediately that they were meant to be in each others’ lives.
“We were big and little in our college sorority, Alpha Phi, and knew instantly that we were meant to be in each other's lives. twinflames. represents one soul that has been split into two separate bodies—which we chose because we identify as soulmates or twinflames. We created this brand as a way to extend our connection with each other into wearable pieces that make you feel connected to us, the brand, and to your own twinflame” - Nat & keaton
a little bit of advice
Jess: what advice do you have for young women?
nat & keaton:
“As long as you are happy and doing something you love, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. You are the leader of your own life and that's all that matters.”
Jess: what advice do you have for young women that are looking to make a change in their career/feel lost & don't know what to do for a living?
keaton:
“The biggest advice I’d give is to go for your passion even if others don’t see it in you. When Nat & I started our brand we really had to just believe in our product & vision because a lot of people around us didn’t think it would be so successful. We knew we could, so we moved forward with our idea.”
inspired by…
Jess: who do you attribute your success to?
nat & keaton:
“We attribute our success to our hard work and the support we have from our customers. We wouldn't be where we are without them and we are so thankful for that. I think what motivates us is the mentality of constantly growing and bettering ourselves. We want to make sure that our products are of the best quality and ones that our customers will be proud to wear.”
Jess: do you feel like you're in the career you've always imagined for yourself?
nat:
“Not at all... I thought that I was going to go into commercial real estate, which is why I took business classes at Arizona State. When I chose a niche, entrepreneurship, it really opened my eyes to all the opportunities I could have and it inspired me to go off on my own.”
keaton:
“Yes, I feel like the job I have now as both a content creator & business owner is exactly what I envisioned for myself. I was always coming up with clothing designs when I was younger & always wanted a platform to connect with people. now i get to do this on a daily basis!”
